Step 1: What game do you like to play?
In the webex the other day, Mr. Json said we should think about OUR favorite games to play. Take a few minutes & think about your favorite board game or carnival game (not video). Click on the Padlet link here OR click the square with the arrow on the padlet below. Read what other students like too!
Step 2: Research...
Mr. Json told us it would be a whirlwind of helpful hints & cool creations, & it was!
He talks quickly! Look at the slideshow below to see some of the ideas he shared. He said, after you have a game in mind, think of characters. Who will be in your game? Then, think about the materials. See if you have those things in the house. Soak up his ideas & let YOUR imagination go WILD! (well, not too wild) Step 3: Try these techniques!
Practice your technique by try the things below. You might add them into your game or not.
You will need thin cardboard--like from a cereal box or kleenex box--paper and bottle caps.
Challenges:
After you make your game...think about how you can add a challenge. How can you make it a little harder if mom plays, but a little easier if little sister plays? Can you... Add pieces to block the goal? Time the game play so a person has to beat a time or finish by a certain time? Change the ball/object that scores? Other things to think about... Remember to give your game a name! Do you need to write rules out? Step 4: Share on the Flipgrid!

Step 1: Think about games you LOVE to play! Post them on the padlet.Step 2: Listen to a story (or two).Step 3: What if...
What if you had these supplies?
What game could you make? Think, think, think... Got one? Great! Now, think of another. & another & another.... Post your ideas on the 2nd column of the padlet! Games don't have to be complicated...Feed the Frogs
What did Mr. Json do to make this game cool?
Name as many things as you can. Think about how the game is designed & think about decoration (how it looks.) Ready, set, go.... Step 4: Look around YOUR house....
Find supplies you could use for a game.
Tell us, or show us, what you found in the 3rd column of the padlet. Tell us what game you're thinking of making in the Flipgrid.
